Start with dry hair and a dry scalp. With the 2% and 5% solution, apply 1 ml directly to the scalp. Minoxidil only works while you use it. Patient's can expect the rate of hair fall to return to what it was prior to starting minoxidil. Over time, hair volume will return to what it was prior to minoxidil use due to this hair fall. Hair fall does not occur more rapidly after discontinuing minoxidil.
